My Daughter my have ADHD? Any advice in these early stages.

Hey everyone, or actually no one. I have had my blog live for a week or so and no visitors. But I believe in my mission, so I will keep writing. Today I am having my 6 year old daughters guidance counselor observe her to see if she is showing signs of ADHD. I feel really uncomfortable with the idea she may have some issues. Being it's more or less a brain problem, i guess i worry that it will difficult to make the right decisions on how to help her. Any body out there dealing with ADHD in their young daughter or have you dealt with this. I am confident that there are ways I can work with her or even find toys or games that will keep her in tune, but i really want to hear from those of you who are already dealing with this. What are some things I can avoid or make sure we do?

Selecting the right educational products

This is the second post in my blog that relates to finding the toys that you little one will use to grow in their education or work on an area that may need some work. I love these toys in the fact that they will fulfill the educational level of a child through more then one year. They are designed to have a 2 year life. So if it seems it is becoming to easy for the little tike, then there are ways of using the same toy to make it more challenging. Take a minute to read some good information below that discusses this in a more high tech way.

I encourage you to check out my website www.discoverytoyslink.com/toys4love

Selecting The Right Educational Products

Discovery Toys offers two new tools to help parents and caregivers choose products a child is ready for, to meet specific learning needs. The first, our Learning Pathways Chart, highlights core school readiness skills: Exploration, Thinking Skills, Motor Skills, Math, Reading/Language, and Expression, and shows which DISCOVERY TOYS® products develop these skills at every age and stage of development. The chart guides a parent to choose products to support a desired Learning Pathway. A Discovery Toys customer can choose items from multiple Learning Pathways, creating a well-balanced diet of play at any age and stage of development.
The second tool, the Readiness Quiz, is a proprietary series of age-specific questionnaires that pose questions about a child’s developmental progress to date. Based on the answers provided, a Discovery Toys Educational Consultant will recommend a list of appropriate products for which the child is ready. The Educational Consultant can personally demonstrate these products before a purchase decision is made.
The Readiness Quiz and the Learning Pathways Chart are excellent tools to help guide this selection process. With the right balance of products, you encourage the natural process of discovery, raise your child’s self-esteem, and create a positive learning environment. Adds Jane Leitch, “Our company’s direct-selling and in-home party method of distribution offers Discovery Toys the ideal opportunity to truly understand the needs of each of our customers and to recommend products that will help each child learn and grow, successfully and confidently.”

Learning Through Play

I struggled to feel confident in the strategies I was using to educate my children to compete in this big world and/or just letting them relax and have fun. "Their just kids" was my thoughts. But, in my quest I stumbled across this company and have found the answer to my needs. This blog is going to allow those who are interested in educating their kids (or grandkids, neices, nephew, neighbor kids, etc) with products that are fun and educational. Hope to see you back soon.

Here is a snippet of information discussing the importance of play.
